Dorset Rough Riders are an offroad cycle club based around the Bournemouth/Poole area. We welcome riders of all ages and abilities and offer a varied selection of rides throughout the week. Details of all our rides can be found in the ride calendar.
The emphasis of the club is on social cross-country riding but many club members are involved in local and national racing and we also participate in many of the off road events that take place throughout the year all over the country.
We have an active social calendar and our members also have the benefit of 10% discount on parts and accessories at all our local partner shops.
Non-members are welcome to come along to try any of our rides to get a feel for the club. Just contact the ride leader beforehand to let them know you are coming. |

| Chris Lewis sports massage |

Some DRR members may have received treatment from Chris while he was qualifying. He is now qualified and is setting up his business. He runs an all day clinic at the Dolphin swimming pool (in Poole) on fridays and at the moment he is still continuing to operate a mobile service. | The New Forest Rattler cyclosportive |

The New Forest Rattler cyclosportive is looking forward to its second outing this Summer. The 2010 event will be taking place on Sunday 22 August, with the event HQ based at the stunning Moyles Court School just outside Ringwood.Riders can choose one of two routes - a 79 miles course or a 49 mile course - depending on what sort of challenge you are looking for. This year we have Howie from Cyclosport.org coming to ride, review and take photos at the event, so make sure you put your race face on if you see him. British Cycling (BC) along with government backing are trying to introduce cycling to schools as part of their education. The scheme is called “Go ride” which is already very successful and many schools participate. BC reps are looking for schools that may be interested, so if you are a parent, teacher or school governer and think your school could benefit contact Dave Jowett the local BC "Go Ride" coach and he can contact your school. DaveJowett@britishcycling.org.uk To find out more about the scheme follow the link below or contact Dave Jowett. He is employed full time by BC and is looking expand the scheme across local schools. There is also the opportunity for you to qualify as a "go ride" coach if this appeals to you and enable you to get involved along with gaining a coaching qualification.
