Its Big and Orange and its SOLD

Its my Easky 15 Touring sea kayak! Just in case there are any of you that fancy getting into another hobby - this time your legs get a rest - great for exercise the day after a tough MTB ride!!!

I'll be letting this boat go in a month or so to make way for a new one. The Easky 15 is actually 15' 6'' long and Its in great condition. It can be car topped easily & is really quick for a touring kayak - just Google it & you'll only find good reviews. Venture kayaks are part of the prestigious P&H / Pyranha kayak family. They used to produce another touring model but recently they've decided to make just Easkies in this part of the market!! It paddles predictably, has an adjustable drop down skeg ( essential with wind/tide movement) and overall is a great way to get into sea kayaking. I've had it out in quite large swell outside the harbour and in the tide race around old Harry & its very predictable & steady. It has adjustable foot stops & knee braces for better control. It even has provision for adding a rudder altho if you get into kayaking you won't need one!Paddler size is 5' 2''to 6' 2'' - those being the extremes I know will fit in it!!

I will sell this boat including BA, Neoprene spraydeck, matching paddle with split shaft for £450 to any DRR - failing that I'll be ebaying & expecting to get £425 for the boat alone - they don't hang around long. (New the kayak without anything elsae costs £689 - new all in would be £850)

It would be nice to sell it to a DRR. Have a look at the pics & pm me or text 07894 580590 if you want a look. I'm in merley

Hello mate,

Very interested - I currently have an open top perception with very little use and am really wanting a sit in for touring this year! Would you be interested in selling it without the paddle and BA - if so, does this alter your price at all (albeit an already good one).

If I can get a similar amount for my nearly new perception, then I will almost certianly have it off you.
Is it in good cond, no cracks etc - I'm guessing it has the usual beaching scrapes on the bottom?

Timing would be ideal as need to sell mine first!

Cheers

Hi Sinbad! - I'd wondered about your forum nickname - now I know!!

I've had a few texts about this kayak already. I'll sell the boat alone for £400 or £425 with the spraydeck but not going below that - maybe that'd suit you if you already have a nice paddle & Ba that you like - as you say its a good price anyway. Re hull - nothing significant - a few scuffs & scratches but they are unnavoidable with beach landings around here. Boat has always been washwd down with clean water after being in the sea so all fittings are fine.

You mention your Perception - if its a Freedom or Scooter both are excellent SOTs -very popular on Ebay & retain value very well. Actually the Freedom is one of the fastest SOT's going - I have one of these set up for fishing & they are brilliant - a complete novice came out on an "around Brownsea" trip - never paddled before & loved it - mind you that was summer - they ain't the things for this time of year.

Thanks for your interest PM or text me if you want to discuss some more.

Cheers

H

PS someone asked re Paddle in Pic - sorry its my favourite one & its not included in the sale - sorry!

Yeah it is a Perception freedom 'expedition' so has extras such as watertight cuddies, bungees etc! I reckon it's got to be worth £400 - I must have used it 4 times since new!
