forks advice please

Hello
Am wanting to replace the rigid forks on my old raleigh daytona. am after an upgrade to suspension forks but will need lock-out as will need mtb as a back-up to my road bike but want to be comfortable off-road and will need to be compatible with current V brakes. Am not looking to spend megabucks but any advice is welcome. Any thoughts.....
