Where We Ride
Here you will find a sample of some of the places we ride. It is not a complete list and we are always looking for new areas to explore.
| Afan |
For bespoke MTB trails which will test you where others won't, take a trip to Wales - We all like it there!!!
Visit mbwales.com for more details. |
| Arundel |
| Well worth the drive to this picturesque Castle town beneath the Sussex Downs – the routes are stunning – long climbs, long descents and loads of technical “tree root” sections to test your bike handling. |
| Avon Tyrrell Mountain Bike Trail |
| This is a small but very interesting forest bike trail to test your bike handling skills. Dorset Rough Riders members may buy individual day permits (very small fee) to use the course at the current discounted residential rate when producing your membership card. Ring 01425 672347 for more information , or see their website. |
| Canford Heath |
| When the rest of the world is in The Dolphin centre on a wet windy Saturday the Heath is where you need to be - still one of the best cracks & its right on your doorstep!! |
| Isle of Wight |
A tough, (31 miles), hilly ride with dramatic scenery, but a nice pub at the end. |
| Redhill Rides |
| You wouldn’t believe the variety of trails within easy reach of Bournemouth. Not too hilly, loads of single track & open heath. Typical routes include Canford Heath, Hurn Forest, Horton Tower, Cannon Hill & Badbury Rings. |
| Sunday "special" rides |
Farther afield, based around rides featured in MBR etc. Perfect if you’ve ever read the descriptions in the mags and thought “I’d like to do that but who do I go with?” or “I can’t be bothered with all that map reading”.
Destinations include: Winchester Downs, Dartmoor, Salisbury Plain, South Downs, Bristol Area, Dorchester and many more. |
| The Purbecks |
Sometimes known as "God's Playground" this is the place to go for big hills and stunning scenery (great cake shops too!) but watch out, they can bite (just ask Hugh) so ride with caution. |
| Wareham Forest |
| Some great singletrack and not too hilly. |
